The 1964 vintage has a special appeal for connoisseurs. This consists of the curved chrome trim strips combined with the unique bumpers in the cow horn design, the sporty 2-spoke steering wheel and the aluminum dashboard. At the same time, the P 1800 S from 1964 already has the more powerful engine of type B 18. In combination with the overdrive and the shortened axle ratio, this gives it a dynamic that is at the level of a contemporary Porsche 356.
We have been dealing with the market and have found that the range of really good specimens is very limited. Therefore, we bought a good copy and put it into a standard, which certainly is far above the average.
In particular, we have dismantled all the units (engine, gearbox, axles) and subjected the vehicle to dry ice treatment on the floor and the engine compartment. After a thorough overhaul of the underfloor and its repainting, we have completed the checked and maintained aggregates together with replacement of the wear parts (brakes, tires, shock absorbers, exhaust system, suspension rubber, etc.).
A new Bouclé carpet and new leather value the interior.
German papers with H-mark and new HU are self-evident.
